Trial Submission and the Graduate Course Award in Research Information Literacy
In order for this module (E-Publishing of Theses and Research Papers) to be credited towards your Graduate Course Award in Research Information Literacy it is necessary to complete a trial submission to the ANU ADT site. Use the following MS Word file as a mock thesis for this purpose (click on the link to access the file and save it on a local drive, e.g. in My Documents): Jill Numbat. Scholarly Document genres and Techno-social change 1990-2005.
You may find it helpful to have in front of you a printed version of above instructions - click on "Use this link to download a PDF version of this course" (in the menu on the left), then print.
Now follow the instructions under the headings
- Preparing your word processed document for conversion to PDF - Creation of files for conversion and subsequent submission
- Converting your document to PDF (Portable Document Format)
- Depositing your Thesis - The ADT Deposit Form
The ADT staff will notify the Graduate Information Literacy Program when they have received a submission of "Scholarly Document Genres and Techno-social Change" and forward the received files. Please make sure you identify yourself correctly during the submission process. Information about your supervisor is not important (feel free to make it up).
If you should have difficulty successfully using the ADT Deposit Form, please contact library.digital-theses@anu.edu.au.
When you have completed your submission please send an email to grad.ilp@anu.edu.au with the following text in the subject line: Mock thesis submitted to ADT, Your name, your university ID.
Within a few days the course "E-Publishing of Theses and Research Papers" will then appear in the Training Completed listing of your training record in ISIS.
