Course Requirements Information Technology Students must attend one of the following courses -
Word Processing (Microsoft Word) for Academic Writing - Modules 1,2,3(2 hours each - click the links below to register) These 3 modules cover those features of Word that are useful to HDR students working with long documents. Content covers formatting text and pages, styles and maintaining consistency, navigating and linking shortcuts, and compiling the thesis. Completion is compulsory unless students attend LaTeX training (see below). OR -
Producing the Thesis with LaTeX - Modules 1,2,3 (2 hours each - click the links below to register) Theses modules cover those features of LaTeX especially useful to HDR students, including creating lists, figures and tables; creating bibliographies and cross-references and creating styles and class files. Completion is compulsory unless students attend MS Word training (see above).
