Searching & Sorting in EndNote Libraries

Quick Search

If your library is sorted by you can quickly find a reference by typing the first letter of the author's surname. This will take you to the first reference beginning with this letter. Alternatively, type the first few letters of the author's surname, taking care not to pause between letters, and you will be taken directly to the nearest matching reference in the library.

General Searching

To find all references that mention a particular word, you can use the search features of EndNote:

ENDNOTE TIP:

Only those references matching the search will now show in EndNote. The remainder of the references have been hidden from view and can be retrieved by choosing Show All References from the References menu
