GILP for the Environmental Management and Development (EMD) Program
A series of incurricula courses based on current GILP Information Searching and EndNote classes was developed for students enrolled in the unit Environmental Assessment and Reporting Skills. Student's information literacy and information searching skills were assessed via an online questionnaire developed for the group. The questionnaire also asked the students to identify information skills they would like to improve. Each class used information sources appropriate to the subject, environmental science and was customised to develop the skill needs recognised by the questionnaire. A special research class gave students the opportunity to use library databases to do there own topics with a librarian available to assist when necessary. The importance of skills taught during the seven week series of classes was accentuated with an assessable component.

GILP for the International and Development Economics (IDEC) Program
A series of GILP courses with an emphasis on information technology skills was run specifically for students studying with RSPAS. Classes included Issues in Literature Review Writing, Word, PowerPoint, SPSS, EndNote and an information searching class using economics databases.
