EndNote

There are 2 modules (A and B). EndNote provides a way to retrieve and organise references from online databases. It can be used to import data files from a range of online services as a reference database-it will store and manage bibliographic references, it builds lists of cited works automatically and can be used to insert citations into word processing documents.

Prerequisite: Students will be better prepared for training in EndNote if they have already attended a Search Strategies and Topic Analysis training session.

EndNote Module A

Learning outcomes:

  • the uses of EndNote.
  • creating an EndNote library and manual references.
  • selecting, formatting and previewing references in a range of styles
  • modifying styles.

Learning outcomes:

  • importing bibliographic data from library catalogues and databases using direct importing, filter files and connect files.
