Selecting and Searching Subject Databases

There are specific sessions for:

Sciences Taught on request for groups of 5 or more science students. Please contact your Graduate Convenor to arrange this.
Arts, Business, Humanities, Social Sciences Book for this course

Students will learn how to select information sources that are appropriate to their needs. They will develop skills in evaluating information while working on a number of subject specific databases.
Students will have an opportunity to translate the searching skills learned in Search Strategies and Topic Analysis training session to a range of subject specific databases. There will be an opportunity in this course to use the skills acquired in EndNote training.

Prerequisites: Students must have attended a Search Strategies and Topic Analysis session and it is strongly recommended that they have attended the 2 EndNote modules before attending this course.
