Achieving Information Literacy

Proposal to the University for an Information Literacy Program (July 2000)

6. Implementation Strategy

An implementation strategy has been developed and approved. As an initial step pilot projects will be undertaken in the following areas:

1. Travelling Training Program - one-to-one IT training in four pilot areas

2. Online Tutorials - IT Applications - Evaluation of suppliers and products

3. Online Tutorial - Information Research Strategies - identification of a suitable model and customisation for ANU

4. Train-the-Trainer Course Proposals - Evaluation of potential suppliers

5. On-campus Lab-Based IT Training

These projects will provide guidance to the Information Literacy Program team in their development of a program for the period October 2000 – December 2001.

Detailed planning will be undertaken in consultation with all relevant areas.

The program will be regularly reviewed and adjusted to meet contemporary needs.
