TypeQuick

Learn to Touch Type

Touch typing is one of the best skills you will ever learn! TypeQuick is available on all PC's on the Information Commons network.

TypeQuick has three different lesson modules:

  1. Learning the keyboard
  2. Learning the keypad
  3. Building speed and accuracy

Please turn off the sound before you start
TypeQuick can be quite noisy for other users if you are learning to type in Information Commons lab! To turn off the sound effects:

Login as normal

RIGHT CliCK on the Sound icon at the bottom right hand corner of the screen
Click on Open Volume Controls
Click the Mute check box in each column

Opening TypeQuick
Click on Start > Programs > TypeQuick > TypeQuick

Initial setup
You only complete these steps the first time you use TypeQuick:

1. At the Introduction screen, click OK
2. At the Screen describing the three TypeQuick courses, click OK
3. The Name fields must be filled in, but can be filled in as you wish
4. Answering either YES or NO to your Commitment to Target will allow you to proceed to the typing tutor program.

At the following screen type the Password…..Posture is important
